Blow molding machine is a plastic processing machine. After the liquid plastic is sprayed out, the machine uses the wind force to blow the plastic body into a certain shape of the mold cavity, making the product. Specifically, blow molding machines can process containers such as plastic barrels, plastic bottles, plastic toys, plastic cans, and plastic beverage straws. At present, blow molding machines have been widely used in the production of various thin-walled hollow products, chemical and daily packaging containers, and children's toys.
1. Classification of blow molding machines
Blow molding can be basically divided into two categories: extrusion blow molding and injection blow molding.
The main difference between the two lies in the preparation of billets, while the blow molding process is basically the same. On the basis of these two molding methods, extrusion stretch blow molding (hereinafter referred to as extrusion stretch blow molding), injection stretch blow molding (hereinafter referred to as injection stretch blow molding), and multi-layer mapping have been developed.
2. Application of blow molding machines
The plastics used for blow molding include polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polypropylene, polystyrene, linear polyester, polycarbonate, polyamide, cellulose acetate, and acetal resin.
1. The consumption of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) ranks first. Widely used in food, chemical, and liquid packaging. High molecular weight polyethylene is suitable for manufacturing large fuel tanks and barrels.
2. PVC is widely used in the packaging of cosmetics and detergents due to its good transparency and airtightness. With the development of non-toxic PVC resins and additives, as well as the development of stretch blow molding technology, the use of PVC containers in food packaging has rapidly increased, and they have begun to be used in the packaging of beer and other beverages containing carbon dioxide gas.
3. Linear polyester material is a new material that has entered the field of hollow blow molding in recent years. Due to its advantages such as bright appearance, high transparency, high mechanical strength, good preservation of items in containers, and no environmental pollution during garbage incineration, its products have developed rapidly in packaging bottles, especially in pressure resistant plastic food containers.
Due to the modification of polypropylene resin and the advancement of processing technology, the use of polypropylene is also increasing year by year.
3. Advantages of blow molding machines:
1. Plastic containers processed by blow molding machines have the advantages of high thickness, corrosion resistance, and wear resistance, which can replace some wooden and ceramic containers.
2. Plastic containers made by blow molding machines are relatively inexpensive and can reduce daily living costs.
3. Fast processing speed and high efficiency. Traditional ceramic wood products are time-consuming and labor-intensive, with insufficient accuracy.
